Designer Spotlight: Diane Miraballes

By Pia Salem-Lopez http://shootandscrap.blogspot.com/

Welcome to the new section of Scrapbytes. This is where we put the spotlight on talented Pinay scrapbookers – get to know them better and be inspired by their creations!

For this month, we put the spotlight on the very talented Diane V. Miraballes!

Diane’s layouts are always full of vibrancy to match her personality! Her layouts are a rainbow of colors and patterns! This designer sure knows what ingenuity means – she has the ability to create masterpieces from few supplies or supplies you never even imagined to use! Looking at her gallery, you would see doodling at a different level. She can make her own patterned paper from her own handwriting!

Here are other facts Diane shared with us.

When, how, why did you start scrapbooking? I wanted my photo album to be as colorful and as creative as it can be so I put a lot of magazine cut outs and stickers onto it. I only discovered acid-free scrapbooking when I found a Creating Keepsakes magazine at our local magazine stand. In 2005, I discovered SMILE scrapbook store in Manila where I purchased my first scrapbook supplies.

I scrap because I want to record the everyday memories our family. I also to want to unleash my creative side through scrapping.

Describe your scrapping style. I think as I grow as a scrapper my style also grows. At first I created layouts with very simple designs. But now I can see that my layouts have dimension and with a lot of embellishments and layers.

I see my finished layouts with lots of patterned papers because I love patterned papers a lot! I think my style is more of a chic style. I love designing feminine layouts too.

What are your scrapping goals? I would like to finish my wedding album. I already finished some of it and I have a lot of wedding pictures to scrap. I would also love to try doing mini albums and altered arts.

I also wish what all scrappers dream of - to get published in a magazine and become a part of a Creative Team of a scrapbook store or manufacturer.
