Chiqui Gutierrez - Simple Pleasures

Design Process: I played with my base patterned paper by spraying glimmer mist to change the background. After it dried, I stamped all over it using Versafine Vintage Sepia ink and my script stamp (see before and after pic). I also played with another patterned paper by distressing it with distress ink and stamping different shapes randomly. For the embellishment, I altered a wooden flower by again spraying glimmer mist and then stamping flourishes on it. I also placed glitter glue on the outline. I used a pearl accent as flower center. I also altered a swirl chipboard by coloring it using chestnut roan fluid chalk ink then covering it with glossy accents. I then “wrapped” the chipboard with copper wire with glass beads. Prior to altering the swirl, I also used it as a pattern for my stitched swirl.

For the color requirement, I used the color yellow and orange to contrast with my primarily green picture.
