Lee Imao - Aint No Princess

Techniques Used:
AGEING - I used Ranger Tattered Rose Distress Ink to age my photo. I
usually only ink the edges to add a little definition, but this time,
I went beyond the limits and inked a larger portion of my photo.
STITCHING - I don't often stitch on my layouts, and when I do, it's
usually just a straight or zigzag line to create borders. First time
to hand-stitched swirls, which I first drew on plastic to use as
template.
TEARING - I usually just tear the edges of my paper to create a
distressed look. This time I tore a huge part of the paper to reveal
another design (rub-ons) underneath.
HIDDEN JOURNALING - Most of my journals are open so the readers can
easily read my thoughts. I hid my journaling inside the castle which I
cut out from the patterned paper itself. I used another patterned
paper to cover the insides. I placed my journaling on tracing paper so
that the color of the PPS will still show through. I used metal clasps
(first time also to use them) and ribbons to close the "castle".
BEADING - This is a first time, and I used the beads to create a
"vine" where I can attach my flowers. I also enhanced the Prima
flowers using beads and glitter Stickles.
STAMPING - I stamped a crown on my head and covered the crown with
gold leafing using Krylon and embellishing it with bling.
3D painting - I made a border of jewels using gold 3D paint and ruby
red Stickles. I usually just used fabric paint to add dots or lines.

Journaling:
I'm no SNOW WHITE. I can't sing to save my own life. much less,
attract Prince Charming.
I'm no CINDERELLA. I've never been good at household chores.
I'm no POCAHONTAS either. I don't talk to trees.
I can't be ARIEL. I can't swim and I prefer to eat seafood, not make
them friends.
I could be SLEEPING BEAUTY. I'd rather be snoozing than doing
above-mentioned household chores.
There's a bit of BELLE in me. We both love books and we're both in
love with a Beast. (Hi, honey!)
I could pass for MULAN. We're both Asian and we put our families first.
Or maybe I'm a JASMINE - not afraid to speak her own mind and seek out
new adventures.
Could be I'm TIANA...still waiting for my frog to turn into a Prince.
(Hi again, honey!)
But then again, I don't need to be a princess to live this fairy tale
life I'm living now.
